Blue Toilets around Thayer

Dad and I decided to take a ride on Easter day... just to get out of the house. We started northbound on US 63 toward West Plains... As we passed K-Kountry 95 Radio Station, Dad started laughing hilariously....

I asked him what was so funny. He says, "Did you see that blue toilet somebody placed in front of the radio station?"

"No," I tell him... wondering if I should be worried about Dad at this point...

He then tells me that he had heard one of his friends talking about a local prank where a gaudy blue toilet is placed in front of business establishments in town... he thought it was for shaming the establishment for something that it had done in the community.

I immediately thought of Hawthorne's character, Hester Prynne, and the shameful "Scarlet Letter."

I told dad that we needed to get a picture of it... as my friends would not believe such a tale without the proof. We turned around and headed back to the radio station.

I got out of the car...

BACKGROUND
I called the radio station to find out what this practical joke was all about. Jim told me that it was part of a fundraiser led by the Thayer Methodist Church, but that he wasn't sure of who the beneficiary is.
