A Momentary Glimpse

Here's a glimpse of a precious Father-Son interaction.

Me: Hey, Dad. Could you take a picture of me with your camera? I need a headshot photo.

Dad: Sure!

(I hand dad his camera, ready for action)

(Dad clicks... hands me the camera for review)

(I look at the on-camera display)
Me: (describing a headshot, putting my right hand, horizontally parallel to the floor, just above my head; placing my left hand just below my chin) There should be no background. Just the face in the photo.

Dad: alright...

Me: Here, let me take a headshot of you. Be still...

(Dad freezes for the pose. I click.)

Me: See! This is a headshot... no background... just face...

(Dad reviews photo... starts mumbling about appearance...)

Dad: Ok! I see! Let me try again.

(I look up... Dad moves closer with camera in hand... click!)

(We review the photo... I mumble about appearance...)

Point of the story: I'm reminded of the adage... "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it."

Hehe... I don't think I care for these headshots...
